Privacy Policy

CV Revamp ("we", "us", "our") provides CV review and rewriting services at cvrevamp.info. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We are the data controller for the information described here.

Who we are: CV Revamp is a service of Synapticonn (FZE), a Free Zone Establishment registered at the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP), Block C VL10-094, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (trade licence SC241129401). Contact: hello@cvrevamp.info.

1. What we collect

When you use the free CV scan or buy a rebuild, we collect:

• Information you give us: your name, your email address, and your CV (including everything written in it, which may include your phone number, address, work history, and education). If you buy, we also collect the information needed to process your order.
• Information collected automatically: basic technical and usage data through cookies and similar tools, such as your approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you visit and how you move through the site (via PostHog, hosted in the European Union, and Google Analytics), a security signal from Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm you are not a bot, and advertising measurement signals from Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, alongside Google Tag Manager, which manages such tags. PostHog may also record how a visitor interacts with a page (session replay). Anything you type into a form, including your name, email, phone number and CV, is masked and never appears in a recording. None of these analytics or advertising tools run until you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner; only the security check is always on.

2. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To run your free scan and send you the results. We send your CV to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the score and analysis, store it, and email your breakdown to you. Basis: your consent and, where you have purchased, performance of our contract with you.
• To deliver a purchased rebuild: producing your new CV, LinkedIn guidebook, and job list, and emailing them to you. Basis: performance of our contract.
• To send you marketing follow-up (tips and offers about our service) only if you opted in by ticking the consent box. Basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 6) and every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe.
• To keep the service secure and working, and to improve it. Basis: our legitimate interests, applied only where permitted; for marketing we always rely on consent, as the UAE PDPL does not allow a legitimate-interest basis for marketing.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your CV for any purpose other than those above.

3. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Google (Apps Script, Drive, Sheets): storing and processing your scan and order data.
• Anthropic (Claude AI): analyzing your CV to generate the scan score and the rewrite. Your CV content is sent to Anthropic for this purpose.
• MailerLite: sending and managing our emails.
• Cloudflare (Turnstile): bot and abuse protection.
• PostHog (hosted in the European Union): product analytics and session replay, to understand how the site is used and where it fails. Form inputs are masked before any recording is stored.
• Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager, and directly on the free scan page): understanding site usage.
• Meta (Meta Pixel) and LinkedIn (Insight Tag): measuring whether our advertising on those platforms leads to visits and purchases, and reaching people who visited the site with follow-up advertising. Google Tag Manager manages these tags.
• Stripe: processing payment if you buy. We do not see or store your full card details.

Some of these providers are based outside your country (including the United States), so your data may be transferred and processed internationally under their own safeguards.

4. How long we keep it

• Free scan data (CV, name, email, score): kept for up to 12 months from your last activity, then deleted, unless you became a customer or asked us to delete it sooner.
• Customer order data: kept for as long as needed to deliver your order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations (up to 5 years), then deleted.
• Marketing contact data: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

5. How we protect it

We restrict access to your data, use reputable providers, and keep our credentials locked down on a need-to-use basis. No system is perfectly secure, but if a data breach occurs that affects your privacy, we will act promptly and notify the relevant authority as required by law.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the data we hold about you,
• correct it if it is wrong,
• delete it,
• stop using it for marketing (or withdraw any consent you gave, without affecting what we did before you withdrew), and
• where applicable, provide it in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email hello@cvrevamp.info and we will respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to complain to the UAE Data Office (or, if you are in the EU/UK, your local data protection authority).

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for: analytics and session replay (PostHog and Google Analytics), advertising measurement (Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, managed through Google Tag Manager), and security (Cloudflare Turnstile). Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner; if you choose "Reject non-essential", none of them are set and only the security check runs. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookies" button at the bottom corner of every page. PostHog masks everything you type into our forms, so recordings never contain your name, email, phone number or CV. You can also control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of Meta and LinkedIn advertising measurement through your account settings on those platforms.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be made clear on this page.
